Employee vs. Employer – Success in a Dispute Over Termination Without Disclosing Trade Secrets

The company represented by our firm terminated its relationship with a high-level manager, indicating in its termination letter that the position was being eliminated. The employee’s duties were redistributed among other team members.

The employee disagreed with the termination and filed a lawsuit, demanding compensation of several hundred thousand złoty. The employee claimed that the reason given in the termination was spurious, pointed out alleged violations of the law, and demanded access to trade secrets. The employer found themselves in a difficult situation and turned to us for assistance.

We represented the employer in this difficult dispute, defending the employee’s allegations. We also took steps to ensure that trade secrets were not disclosed despite the employee’s requests.

The court dismissed the claim in its entirety, which allowed our client to avoid costs and resolve the dispute on favorable terms.
